ATLANTA- Delta Air Lines (DL), two flights operated by Boeing aircraft type, made emergency landings in a single day.
But there is a single commonality between the two flights. One flight was scheduled to land at Salt Lake City Airport (SLC), while the other took off from SLC. The FAA investigates both of these flights.
Delta First Flight Emergency Landing
Delta Air Lines Flight 496 touched down without incident at approximately 6:45 p.m. local time at Denver International Airport (DEN) following a reported potential hydraulic concern by the flight crew.
The flight took off from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) en route to John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) in New York. For additional details, kindly refer to the airline’s official communication, wrote FAA.
The aircraft involved in the incident is a Boeing 757-200, registered as N548US. Subsequently, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will initiate an investigation into the matter.
Second Incident
On Tuesday, August 29, Another Delta Air Lines Flight 1593 completed a safe landing at Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport (ICT) at approximately 8:25 p.m. local time. The flight crew alerted about a potential pressurization concern.

Delta Flight Turbulence Injured 11
On Tuesday, August 29, 2023, a severe turbulence incident took place involving Delta Air Lines (DL) flight DL175, which was en route from Milan (MXP) to Atlanta (ATL).
The flight was operated by an Airbus A350-900 aircraft with the registration code N576DZ, having been in service for three years.
The flight lasted 9 hours and 47 minutes and proceeded uneventfully until the approach phase. Approximately 40 miles northeast of Atlanta, the aircraft encountered a bout of severe turbulence.
Out of the total 151 passengers and 14 crew members on board, 11 individuals sustained injuries as a result.
These injured individuals were promptly transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation. Fortunately, none of the injuries are deemed life-threatening.
