Avianca and United Expands the Codeshare with New Flights

CHICAGO- Starting in mid-December 2023, the Star Alliance member Avianca (AV) intends to enhance its codeshare collaboration with United Airlines (UA), encompassing a range of routes to and from Chicago O’Hare (ORD).

The scheduled codeshare routes will come into effect on December 13, 2023.

The following routes are part of the codeshare partnership between Avianca, operated by United Airlines, and Chicago O’Hare:

9. Chicago O’Hare – Des Moines

11. Chicago O’Hare – Greenville/Spartanburg
12. Chicago O’Hare – Honolulu
13. Chicago O’Hare – Knoxville
14. Chicago O’Hare – Las Vegas

UA LOT Cancel Codeshare Partnership

Star Alliance members LOT Polish Airlines (LO) and United Airlines (UA) will discontinue their codeshare partnership, which has been in place since October 2003. The existing reciprocal codeshare routes will remain operational until September 26-27, 2023.

On October 26, 2003, LOT joined the Star Alliance as its 14th member following the dissolution of the Qualiflyer Group. United is the founding member of Star Alliance, along with Scandinavian Airlines (SK), Thai Airways International (TG), Air Canada (AC), and Lufthansa (LH).

The existing reciprocal codeshare routes between LOT Polish Airlines and United Airlines will remain valid until September 26-27, 2023.
