NEW YORK- The Chicago-based United Airlines (UA) is making changes to its Boeing 777-300ER routes for the upcoming summer season.
According to Planespotters, the United has a fleet of 22 Boeing 777-300ERs. Further, it has a total of 74 777-200, and overall, it has a fleet of around 924 aircraft and has 800+ planes on order.
United Removes Boeing 777
Following are the changes by United with its Boeing 777-300ER, reported IshrionA.
- They have added a 777-300ER on one of the three daily flights from San Francisco (SFO) to London (LHR).
- However, they are removing the 777-300ER from routes between Newark (EWR) and Brussels (BRU) as well as Frankfurt (FRA).
As of now, these are the planned 777-300ER routes for United Airlines during the peak of the Summer 2024 season. The new additions for the 777-300ER compared to Summer 2023 include flights between SFO and LHR, MNL, and PEK.
The aircraft will no longer be used between EWR and BRU/FRA routes. Updates for domestic flights will be provided at a later date, with the expectation that routes like SFO-IAD and SFO-HNL will be maintained.
Boosting European Routes
United Airlines is planning to boost its capacity on routes to two European destinations for the upcoming summer season:
- Dubrovnik, Croatia (DBV)
- Palma de Mallorca, Spain (PMI)
When these routes resume in May 2024, United’s flights from Newark (EWR) to DBV and PMI will be serviced by the Boeing 767-400ER aircraft instead of the 767-300ER.
