MADRID- Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) has claimed the prestigious title of World’s Best Airport 2025 at the Skytrax World Airport Awards held in Madrid on April 9, 2025, marking its thirteenth victory in the awards’ history.
In addition to the top honor, Changi Airport also secured awards for World’s Best Airport Dining, World’s Best Airport Washrooms, and Best Airport in Asia, cementing its status as a global aviation leader.

Singapore Changi Airport’s record-breaking thirteenth win demonstrates its consistent commitment to exceptional service and innovative facilities.
CEO Yam Kum Weng expressed gratitude to passengers and the airport community, emphasizing their dedication to providing superior travel experiences as air travel continues to grow post-pandemic.
The annual World Airport Awards, conducted by Skytrax, are based on comprehensive customer satisfaction surveys involving over 100 nationalities between August 2024 and February 2025. The evaluation covers all aspects of the airport experience, from check-in and security to shopping and gate departures.
Doha’s Hamad International Airport (DOH) secured the second position globally while also winning the World’s Best Airport Shopping and Best Airport in the Middle East.
Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) rounded out the top three and received additional recognition as the World’s Cleanest Airport, the World’s Best Domestic Airport, and for delivering the World’s Best PRM & Accessible Facilities.
Category Winners Show Global Excellence
The World Airport Awards also recognized excellence across various passenger volume categories. Tokyo Haneda (HND) led airports serving over 70 million passengers, while Singapore Changi (SIN) topped the 60-70 million passenger category.
Smaller airports also received recognition, with Goa Manohar International Airport (GOX) winning for facilities serving fewer than 5 million passengers.
Other notable winners include Seoul Incheon Airport (ICN) for World’s Best Airport Staff, Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) as Best Airport in Europe for the third consecutive year, and Copenhagen Airport (CPH) for World’s Best Airport Security Processing.
The hospitality sector saw Crowne Plaza Changi Airport named the World’s Best Airport Hotel, while TWA Hotel at New York JFK (JFK) received the Best Airport Hotel in North America award for the second time.
Regional Excellence and Specialized Services
The awards highlighted regional leaders across continents. Cape Town Airport (CPT) dominated African categories, while Delhi International Airport (DEL) maintained its position as the Best Airport in India & South Asia.
Istanbul Airport (IST) earned recognition as the World’s Most Family Friendly Airport, and Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) showed remarkable improvement to win the World’s Most Improved Airport award.
Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) received praise for its efficient baggage handling system, winning the World’s Best Airport Baggage Delivery award. Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) secured the World’s Best Airport Immigration title, while Houston Airport System (IAH/HOU) was recognized for the World’s Best Airport Art for the third consecutive year.
