DOHA- Qatar Airways (QR) has resumed daily nonstop passenger flights between Hamad International Airport (DOH) in Doha and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), restoring a key transatlantic route after a multi-year absence.
The service returned on August 1, 2026, strengthening the airline’s presence in the United States while giving travelers easier access to more than 160 destinations through its Doha hub.
The reinstated Philadelphia service marks the latest expansion of Qatar Airways’ North American network, which now serves 14 destinations across the United States and Canada.
Operated by the Airbus A350-900, the route combines premium onboard products with improved connectivity for both business and leisure travelers moving between North America, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
Qatar Airways Returns to Philadelphia
The daily Philadelphia route represents another milestone in Qatar Airways’ long-term growth strategy in the U.S. market. By restoring nonstop flights, the airline reconnects one of America’s largest metropolitan regions with its global network through Doha.
The Airbus A350-900 assigned to the route features the airline’s award-winning Qsuite business class and complimentary Starlink internet service.
More than 140 aircraft in Qatar Airways’ fleet now offer Starlink connectivity, allowing passengers to enjoy high-speed internet throughout much of their journey.
The resumed flights also improve travel options for passengers connecting beyond Doha. Through Hamad International Airport, travelers can access over 160 destinations spanning Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Oceania with convenient onward connections.
Qatar Airways operates the route daily with Flight QR727 departing Doha in the morning and arriving in Philadelphia during the afternoon.
The return Flight QR728 leaves Philadelphia in the evening before arriving in Doha the following day, providing schedules designed to support seamless international connections.
North America Growth Reaches Fourteen Destinations
With Philadelphia returning to its route map, Qatar Airways now serves 14 destinations across North America during the 2026 summer season.
The network includes major U.S. gateways such as Boston, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, D.C., alongside Canadian cities Montreal and Toronto.
Atlanta is also part of the carrier’s expanded North American schedule.
The broader network provides passengers with greater flexibility when planning international travel.
Travelers can choose from multiple U.S. departure points while benefiting from coordinated connections through Doha to destinations that may not be served directly from North America.
