DUBAI- Emirates (EK) will restore a second daily Airbus A380 service between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) for a limited period in October 2026. The temporary upgrade replaces the Boeing 777-300ER on one of the airline’s daily frequencies.
The schedule update shows Emirates (EK) will operate flight EK354/355 with the Airbus A380 from October 1 through October 24, 2026, increasing premium and overall seat capacity on the busy Dubai (DXB) to Singapore (SIN) route.
Emirates Expands A380 Operations on Singapore Route
According to the latest schedule update, Emirates will deploy the Airbus A380 on its second daily Dubai to Singapore service for 24 days in October 2026. During this period, flight EK354 from Dubai and the return flight EK355 from Singapore will operate with the double deck aircraft instead of the Boeing 777-300ER, flagged by Aeroroutes.
The move temporarily increases Airbus A380 frequencies on the route from one daily flight to two daily flights.
The additional A380 service is scheduled as follows:
Dubai (DXB) to Singapore (SIN)
- EK348: 02:20 to 14:05 | Boeing 777-300ER
- EK354: 03:00 to 15:00 | Airbus A380 (October 1 to October 24, 2026)
- EK352: 10:00 to 21:45 | Airbus A380
- EK314: 21:00 to 08:35 (+1) | Boeing 777-300ER
Singapore (SIN) to Dubai (DXB)
- EK353: 00:50 to 04:05 | Airbus A380
- EK349: 01:40 to 04:50 | Boeing 777-300ER
- EK315: 10:35 to 13:45 | Boeing 777-300ER
- EK355: 21:00 to 00:10 (+1) | Airbus A380
The aircraft change applies only between October 1 and October 24, 2026. Following this period, the schedule may return to its previously planned aircraft assignment unless Emirates issues another update.
Temporary Capacity Increase for October Travel
Singapore remains one of Emirates’ busiest destinations in Southeast Asia, with multiple daily flights connecting travelers through the airline’s global hub at Dubai International Airport.
Deploying an additional Airbus A380 allows Emirates to offer significantly more seats compared to the Boeing 777-300ER. The aircraft also provides additional premium cabin capacity, including First Class Suites, Business Class, Premium Economy on retrofitted aircraft, and Economy Class.
The temporary upgrade may help accommodate stronger passenger demand during the early October travel period while enhancing capacity on one of the airline’s flagship Asian routes.
Emirates Continues Extensive A380 Network
Emirates remains the world’s largest Airbus A380 operator, using the aircraft across many of its highest demand international routes.
Singapore has long been among the airline’s established A380 destinations because of consistent passenger demand and strong connectivity through Dubai.
The airline regularly adjusts aircraft assignments based on operational requirements, seasonal demand, and network planning.
While schedules remain subject to change, the latest update confirms that passengers traveling between Dubai and Singapore during the first 24 days of October 2026 can expect two daily Airbus A380 services.
