SYDNEY- United Airlines (UA) is expanding its premium-focused Boeing 787-9 network with a planned Elevated configuration on the San Francisco to Sydney route. The service is scheduled to begin in December 2026, adding another long-haul destination for United’s premium-heavy Dreamliner.

United Airlines plans to introduce its premium-heavy Boeing 787-9 on flights between San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD) from December 2026.
The deployment is scheduled to start on December 2 for the San Francisco to Sydney direction, with the return service beginning December 4. Current schedule data shows three weekly flights initially, followed by increased daily service from December 17 during the peak holiday period.
