However, according to a trusted X user, it appears that Air India (AI) aircraft might have been enlisted by the Indian Army to transport personnel involved in a collaborative military drill with the United States and is currently en route back home.

According to Flightradar24, Air India (AI) flight AI1188 took off from Fairbanks (FAI), Alaska, at around 7:10 PM UTC. After being airborne for almost 11 hours, the flight landed safely at Delhi (DEL) at around 6:06 AM UTC.

The flight is operated by the Boeing 777-300ER, having the registration VT-ALQ. Further, it is a 14.1-year-old aircraft and is powered by GE Aerospace GE90.
