Airbus Gets 100+ New Orders, Delivered 70+ Aircraft in October

TOULOUSE- Airbus has disclosed that they received an order for 10 A350-900 aircraft among the approximately 120 total orders placed with the manufacturer in October.

However, the customer responsible for this agreement, which constitutes the sole widebody order for the month, has not been publicly revealed. This order contributes to the total A350 orders, which now stand at 1,056 aircraft, with 791 being the -900 variant.

Airbus October Orders and Deliveries

The bulk of Airbus’ activity in October was driven by United Airlines (UA) and Cathay Pacific (CX). United Airlines placed orders for 60 A321neos, while Cathay Pacific signed agreements for 24 A321neos and eight A320neos.

In addition to these, Airbus has secured orders for six A220-100s, intended for Pacific-based Air Niugini, and eight of the larger A220-300s for an undisclosed customer.

Furthermore, Airbus has secured agreements for three A321neos from another unidentified customer.

In total, these agreements for 119 aircraft brought Airbus’s net total for the first 10 months of the year to 1,334 aircraft.

In October, Airbus delivered 71 aircraft, resulting in a total of 559 aircraft deliveries thus far.

September Order

European plane maker Airbus has revealed its latest September 2023 order and delivery data. Airbus’ new orders fell to 23 compared to 117 last month.

Further, the leading aircraft manufacturer delivered 55 aircraft to 34 customers. So far, the Aerospace company has delivered around 488 planes to 78 customers.

In September 2023, Airbus received 10 widebody A350-900 orders from Turkish Airlines (TK). Subsequently, it got 13 A321neo orders from LATAM Airlines (LM).

Airbus has to date received gross orders of 1120 for single-aisle aircraft. Further, it has received a gross order of 33 for A330 and 124 for A350s. So the total gross orders is 1280.
