Representing the latest addition to the cutting-edge Pearl engine family, the Pearl 10X is the first Rolls-Royce engine selected to power a Dassault business jet.

Subsequently, this endorsement by the esteemed French aircraft manufacturer underscores Rolls-Royce’s dominant position as the premier engine manufacturer in the business aviation sector.

Located in Tucson, Arizona, USA, pilots and flight test engineers will rigorously evaluate the engine’s performance over the coming months.

Multiple Analysis

The flight test regimen will encompass various assessments, including engine performance and handling evaluations at different speeds and altitudes, inflight relighting exercises, examinations of the nacelle’s anti-icing system, and fan vibration tests conducted at different altitudes.

Further, the ground-based development program has thoroughly tested the innovative ultra-low emissions ALM combustor, designed to accommodate 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and the new accessory gearbox, enabling enhanced additional power extraction.

Notably, the engine exceeded its targeted thrust levels during its inaugural test run, positioning it as the most potent business aviation engine within the Rolls-Royce portfolio.
